This privacy notice explains how Strapella ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you visit or buy from our website, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Order information: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, order details and payment confirmation (we never see or store your full card number — payments are processed by Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna or your chosen provider).
  • Device information: IP address, browser, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Marketing preferences: your email address if you sign up to our newsletter.

How we use it

  • To fulfil and deliver your order, send order updates and provide customer service (legal basis: contract).
  • To detect fraud and keep the site secure (legitimate interests).
  • To improve the website and our products (legitimate interests).
  • To send you marketing emails if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email (consent).

Who we share it with

We share data only with providers who help us run the shop: Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, delivery carriers, email and analytics providers, and review platforms. Some of these providers are based outside the UK; where that's the case, transfers are protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the basket and checkout, and analytics/marketing cookies (for example Google Analytics and Meta Pixel) to understand traffic and show relevant ads. You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 6 years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for up to 26 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights email info@strapella.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
